1. Not to defend the ignorant fools... |
|
but our side did the same with Bush and Cheney. Defacing the picture that way is stupid, but it also falls within the first Amend.
It's not a crime to say stuff we disagree with.

8. It's not a "minor" semantic issue..A "portrait" of our president |
|
is NOT the same as a fucking Hitler do-over...Spanone's right....You can bet they wouldn't make that mistake with Bush.

It should have been reported as an "altered photo (or picture) ridiculing the President." Just "portrait" alone makes it sound like it's "official..."

3. our side did the some with bush photos many times over. |
|
once somebody goes to the nazi/hitler comparison extreme NOBODY takes them serious anymore anyway so I wouldn't get all wound up over it. despite my utter distaste for bush i rolled my eyes when i saw it done to him as well.

11. It's 'appalled'. And the organization you want to contact is the AP, not Yahoo. |

"A demonstrators holds up a portrait of President Barack Obama on Capitol Hill in Washington, Saturday, Sept. 12,2009, during a taxpayer rally. (AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana)"
Associated Press writes these descriptions and frankly, does so in a hurry. Yahoo just aggregates news from multiple sources, same as Google News. They have very few editorial staff or copyrighters, 99% of what you see on Yahoo or Google or other large internet portals is automated content presentation, based on how new the text/photo feed content is, how many reprints there have been, and how many people are clicking on it.
