Is it still treasonable not to support the President during times of war?
Those teabaggers sure didn't seem very supportive this past weekend so I'm wondering if that old Republican rallying cry is still in effect. Or has that belief been discarded due to their eternal hypocrisy?

It must be so confusing to be a Republican given all of their changing attitudes towards the Office of the President and Washington, in general.

1. Who said it was treasonable to not support a prez in time of war?
Isn't that what freedom of speech and independent thinking are all about?

And what if the war was one of choice? Is it still considered treasonous?

3. You need to read the fine print
* Does not apply if the president is a black kenyan muslim indonesian radical-christian nazi communist.

6. I was simply being facetious given all the laughable right wing anger lately
When we protested W, weren't we branded as traitors and accused of not loving America? I guess they follow a "Do as I say, not as I do" approach to political thought.

7. It goes with the letter behind the name
if it is an R... of course, if it is a D... well you know

By the way... it is the duty of the citizen to get behind the government when they do the right thing and question them otherwise... that is a principle they don't get.

8. Only if you are a Democrat.
Was thinking about this very subject this morning. Hannity, Beck, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, all screamed about how it's un-American not to support the president in a time of war. Now they are inciting their audience to overthrow a democratically elected President. Hypocrites the lot of em'.

Good test - you just proved that all too many react to the subject and "assume" the rest - especially with your low post count.

10. Did the President start the war by lying in order to win an election?
Edited on Mon Sep-14-09 06:23 PM by L. Coyote
And, to help cover up having stolen the White House, to seize control of Congress ....... to empty the treasury while decreasing taxes on his friends who loan the money back at interest, .....

Just depends on the particular case.

13. Yes
The President does not need naysayers or Monday Morning Quarterbacks dictating what our military does overseas. The Commander in Chief must rely on the military brass and what they deem necessary to defeat the terrorists.

15. I certainly did not support the LAST president during "time of war..."
...so I'll just have to support the rights of dissenters who disagree with me now.

16. No, NO - that's PATRIOTIC now!
Just watch FOX. No need to think. They'll tell you what to think. It doesn't matter if it is completely opposite of what they told you yesterday. Just listen and accept what they say. It is the patriotic thing to do. Boss Limbaugh says so.
