An observation about prostitutes and paying taxes and the GOP finger pointers. |
|
WHen I first heard this ACORN story, I kinda nodded and thought back to some one I once met in the course of my travels--a prostitute who was in the process of filling out her tax forms. I registered surprise because she was reporting income made from an illegal activity. She looked at me with utter contempt and informed me that she was an honest citizen and always paid her taxes. I can't remember what she said about what how she labelled herself as a worker. It was quite a number of years ago. I was impressed with how she viewed her role as citizen.
Wonder how many Wall Street executives and bankers or CEOs in health care could be caught trying to find ways to pay their taxes rather than hiding them or lying to avoid paying their fair share?

and i am seeing this CONSTANTLY
if the investigators had represented themself merely as a prostitute, this would not be NEARLY as much of a big deal
ACORN was helping purported CHILD SEX TRAFFICKERS. there is a huge difference between an adult woman who chooses to be a prostitute (although some are forced into it, i doubt those are the ones seeking tax advice), and a pimp who is seeking advice on helping his CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING business.
the difference is the minor victims.

in baltimore, they said they were going to import 13 "very young girls" from el salvador as prostitutes
the ACORN employee offered the helpful advice that the children could be claimed as dependants.

6. Can't answer that, but the blatant and shameless disregard |

for the law flaunted by our elected officials charged with setting the rules and penalties for "others" never ceases to astound me. Nor does it cease to amaze me how these amoral cretins try to morph into "us" when confronted for their behavior. Did you see the video of DeMint at that rally when he kept using "us" when speaking to the crowd and talking about Congress as some third party? He's a MEMBER of Congress. If he feels that way about it, he should leave his office and start working for what he believes. The finger pointers....
