WASHINGTON – Barring a last-minute apology to Congress, Republican Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina faces what is likely to be a partisan vote scolding him for shouting "You lie!" at President Barack Obama.

Democratic aides said House leaders were preparing to introduce a resolution of disapproval Tuesday afternoon, with a vote likely later in the day.

Democrats confirmed Monday night that they were moving forward with the rebuke.

Wilson has apologized to the White House for his outburst last week during Obama's speech to Congress. But Democrats say Wilson also should apologize to Congress for what they call an unprecedented breach of decorum.

Wilson has refused to do so, saying his initial apology was sufficient

1. I hope they do, but it will accomplish nothing, unfortunately.

4. reprimand
Hope they do. Such action by Wilson is an affront and lack of respect to the position of the Presidency. I am sure he has only done it because Obama is black. He has smeared the office of Representatives of "we the people" with the ugliest action. He should be tared, feathered and driven out of Congress... :kick:

6. That is not what he would be reprimanded for
It will be for House decorum and will have nothing to do with the President

5. What they should do is take the written rules of decorum and tear them up
in front of the whole body and see if Republicans object to that? Republicans don't have any problems with Republicans breaking the rules or laws but if any democrat were to be so bold Holy Hell would follow.

7. And Wilson says "Big deal."
No teeth in it. He knows it won't hurt him.
