Our trade policy killed thousands of beloved pets(not just jobs)Remember!
I really thank President Obama for starting-at least in baby steps-to regulate the goods coming from China.

But if it were up to me-tariffs would be set so there would be no profit in off shoring. Because you can NEVER trust business to worry more about our nation than their own bottom line. Greed is too primal of a behavior to be trusted.

I also got a really horrible flashback while they were talking about China trade policies today. My little Jack Russel Molly died a horrible death thanks to those bastards.

I saw my job devalued along with the rest of America's due to the Republican need for the lowest common denominator. As such I couldn't afford any-I mean any-extra bills.

I bought the choice cuts with gravy store brand at Wall Mart like any idiot on a budget & fed it to my doggie.

After about a year of that diet, she developed what became the classic symptoms of melamine poisoning. She was choking on her vomit/lung fluid when I found her one evening. I couldn't afford to take her to the vet & it was obvious she was dying. Damn thing is she was also suffering horribly. My wife was at work & I just did what I had to do. I have never felt so horrible in all my life. I know I had to stop her suffering. A late night drive to an animal hospital & the resulting bills were out of the question. I would have to bring my young girls along etc...Like I said I did what I had to do.

I buried her under a tree in our yard & cried into the ground till my wife came home. Then we both cried...

All I can say is I will never forget the greed that devalued my job & killed my dog.

I hope you fucking Republican bastards are given the sweet gift of empathy. So at least you can feel sorry for what you have done.

But thats why they are who they are-they don't have a fucking soul-heart-compassion. Unless its for their money that is...

Fuck.

3. Thanks-it kinda hurt re-telling it
But we need to remeber who/what we are dealing with. Imports are vital but so are proper restrictions.

Its one of those things that changes you & not for the better. I try to keep emergency money around now for one thing. I also started working for myself so thats another good start.

We got a new doggie (Shepard mix) & she is a great family member. She also gets the best dog food we can afford. Happy healthy pooch.

But I won't effin forget who killed Molly & why.Guess we should be glad we didn't import the infant formula-or did we??. They killed how many babies in their own country?? And we WANT to buy the goods. Freakin madness...

2. I am very, very sorry about your dog. :-(
She was one of 40,000 pets to die from Chinese melamine poisoning, according to the extrapolations of a veterinarian in California, using the spike in deaths from renal failure in his own practice. This was a disgrace. I can only imagine how many babies in China died from melamine in milk in their baby formula.

Thankfully my two dogs and cat did not fall victim. After the third petfood recall I began home cooking for my pets. That was about 2 1/2 years ago and they are healthy and safe today.
