What do key Democrats think is going to happen if they pass a bad Healthcare Bill?

One thing is certain, regardless of the quality and workability of any plan, the right wing hate machine of Limbaugh, Beck, FOX News and the rest are guaranteed to lie about it. They will simply create out of thin air facts and reasons why Americans should hate government, each other and the rest of the world because of the healthcare legislation. In short, are there really Dems in leadership roles that think that by passing a "bipartisan" bill that the right wing hate machine will moderate their full-throated, violence inciting, lie filled attacks on Democrats and Liberals?

In addition, are there really Democrats in leadership positions that think that people will not quickly understand that they have been duped when they interact with health insurance companies in the future? If one thing is certain, there are some very, very smart people working for the insurance companies and I am quite confident that they have already thought up dozens of ways to continue to deny coverage and still meet the letter of law in regard to pre-existing conditions and the like.

1. They seem to think they can triangulate on this.

If that's what they think, they are catastrophically wrong, and they're going to spend another 8 years in the wilderness, while the GOP burns whatever is left of this country to the ground.

We need the best we can possibly get and even then, with an eye towards widening the door we have a foot in later. Let's fight THIS battle, THIS time, with all we've got!

The purpose of the DLC and the Blue Balled Cowards has always been to undermine the Democratic party from within. So whether its a Repuke majority in 2010, or an allegedly "Democratic" majority that can't get shit done, they win either way. And the American people lose. :evilfrown:
