1. Hey, why not come out and say you are glad he is dead
or that you hate his movies, or that you think men dancing are "queers?"

Why not let this topic simply sink?

No, you had to cowardly U this.

How pathetic.

4. I don't remember him for the same movies most people do...
I absolutely LOVED him in "To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything..."

He dresses up like a woman, puts on makeup, and I see him as the big sister I always wanted but never had (being the oldest of five kids myself).

RIP, Patrick
:(

6. He was great in "To Wong Foo"
but could not find a clip that would show him in action.

Perhaps later someone will post.

8. Wasn't he, though? That movie always makes me happy
when I see it...especially when he and his friends finally get to the contest.

It's so joyous and totally festive...

:)

7. I love the clips.
I'd never seen the first one before. He will certainly be missed, I get a lump in my throat every time I watch one of his you tube videos.

9. To Wong Foo video
set of short clips from the movie.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pbp_pQ8ZR2Q

It made me smile to see it...it also made my eyes tear up

anyway, I need to find my DVD and watch the whole movie again. I especially liked the part where he hits the shit out of the abusive husband...

:)

PS...and I am a bit jealous of the grace and poise he has dressed up as a woman. Makes me feel like a clumsy frump...

11. Of the three, he was the one that seemed completely comfortable
Edited on Tue Sep-15-09 01:41 PM by bain_sidhe
The other two played transvestites with a wink and a nod... an "I'm not really like this, you know" attitude. He was the only one that seemed to reach for that "if I WAS a transvestite, THIS is how I'd be - happy and as comfortable in my 'second' skin as I am in my first one."

I had enormous respect for his talent as an actor after that. He could have played it for laughs, or allowed any discomfort he felt to show. But he didn't.

12. Thank you! I hope they will show the movie soon, as part of a tribute
to Patrick Swayze. When I first saw it I had no idea what it was about and really loved it.

As for his grace and poise - this is what a dancer has, and he was one since being quite small, at his mother's dancing studio (I think).

16. This is great! From SNL?
Is one of the "judges" Julia Louis-Dreyfus?
