1. I am ashamed of those idiot teabaggers, though...
I don't consider them Americans. It's as though our country has been invaded by some kind of alien low-lifes (lives?)

2. There's enough pride and shame in being American for anybody - that hasn't changed.

3. Pride goes before the fall. I've never found much use for pride.
A bit of humility would go a long way.

5. I was happy to see the purple option, because that's what I was going to come in and post. It
doesn't make sense to me to be proud of something I couldn't help. Proud of what others have done, proud of what I have done, sure; but of who I am by birth, no.

6. Any Pride I May Have Felt In the Accident Of Birth That Made Me an American
would have been extinguished long ago by this country's third-world policies regarding human rights, education, and healthcare, not to mention it's imperialistic tendencies.

8. Nationalism is a dangerous tool.
This nation has done nothing to be proud of for a very long time.

11. Pride in Nationality is pointless. I didn't choose to be born here
and I would leave if I could find a way to. We once had promise, but big corporate interests have stolen it away, along with their hate mongering foot soldiers on the Right. No Nation is perfect, but this almost Empire is on it's way out.
