"Illegal" aliens actually pay more in taxes than what they get out of it. You know why? Because many try to stay below the radar so they don't get caught. I worked for Social Security, and the times (which were many) where the earning statement showed wages that were not earned by the recipient--they were earned by an "undocumented" alien who used the recipient's SSN. That means that the money that was generated by the undocumented worker that went into SSN would never be used by the worker.

You seem so worried about the "undocumented" aliens, I wonder how you worry about them when they're doing construction on your house or landscaping, or roofing. When they come to work at your house, do you ask them to show you their green card?

If you really, and I mean really wanted to get rid of illegal immigrants you would be for a bill that actually has teeth. Instead of making immigrants the "boogeyman". All you have to do is make a stiff penalty on businesses, corporations, and I guarantee you that your immigration problem will go away. But, no, can't do that. Can't step on the toes of business, the ones who actually exploit immigrants. It's much better to demonize other people, especially poor people.

Fundamentally, Sanchez's research proves 1 clear thing about Republicans- they vote on party line. They don't read the bills, they rely on fact-sheets and taking point from headquarters, and voting orders from Majority/minority whips.

He shouted "you liar" to Obama not just because he's a racist asshole, it's also because he doesn't remember his previous votes on the issues because his votes were reflex "yes sir" decisions.

This is one of the most annoying problems with political parties: voting a certain way because someone in party HQ told you to- and not because you read the bill in question. Which quite clearly Joe Liar here didn't.
