What sort of return on their dollar are the corporations getting?

My teeth are going ballistic, so I'm not really in the mood to do any hard
research today... but I've been wondering lately: Just how much bang are
these huge companies getting for their buck?

Insurance companies seem to be buying our congress-critters on Ebay; they
give $500 or $1500, or maybe even $15,000 to a candidate, and then they
issue their orders, and for the next 4 years they receiving BILLIONS of
dollars...

Our senators and reps are like crack whores; they're GIVING it away!

You'd think they'd have SOME sense of shame regarding the incredibly LOW
prices they're charging for their services.

(If anyone has any actual numbers on this, I'd appreciate it; as I said,
I'd like to do this myself, but right now I can hardly type.
