Text of Rep. Joe Wilson Resolution
The text of the resolution disapproving of the outburst by Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., during President Barack Obama's speech:
http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2009/09/15/us/politics/AP-US-Health-Care-Heckling-Text.html?_r=1

Whereas on September 9, 2009, during the joint session of Congress convened pursuant to House Concurrent Resolution 179, the President of the United States, speaking at the invitation of the House and Senate, had his remarks interrupted by the Representative from South Carolina, Mr. Wilson; and whereas the conduct of the Representative from South Carolina was a breach of decorum and degraded the proceedings of the joint session, to the discredit of the House:

Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the House of Representatives disapproves of the behavior of the Representative from South Carolina, Mr. Wilson, during the joint session of Congress held on September 9, 2009.

RESOLUTION
Raising a question of the privileges of the House.

3. Oooooh, scary!
Does Wilson still get to ride the exclusive Congressional elevator reserved for House and Senate members only? Does he still get a discount on his "Freedom Fries" at the Capitol Hill cafeteria? An assigned parking spot? The right to waive one footrace against Michael Moore per month?

6. The dribble republicans drag up as to no resolution
I'm listening to this now on C-SPAN. I can't believe the crap the republicans drag up as to why this guy is really OK and the democrats are ever so partisan if they pursue this resolution. This is nothing but a slap on the wrist and the republicans bitch and bitch. What a useless lot. The BS has to stop someplace, this resolution should go forward for outrageous immature outbursts such as Joe Wilson did...

8. House Repugs are Idiots.
What does his sons military service have to do with his bad behavior?

Can't they comprehend that more than one person or institution could be offended by Wilson's bad behavior? That he owes an apology to his colleagues who were sitting with him ... and also the President he interrupted?

And it is laughable to hear the House Repugs today saying that they want to work with the Democrats for health care reform. All they have done is obstruct.

The House Repugs look very small and petty -- and they are the ones looking extremist in their partisanship.

It is almost unbelievable that the House Repugs are going to vote against enforcing their own rules -- but it further proves just how much on the right-wing fringe the establishment Republican Party has become.

9. It was insulting just watching Joe and the other smug little pricks
like Graham in the GOP gallery. They all have very inflated concepts of their own worth, have offerred NOTHING positive to the nation since the election.

Remember "Country First"? Another Republican lie!!!
