6. Reprimanding Wilson is like pissing your pants in a dark suit... |
|
It gives you a warm feeling but nobody notices.
The reprimand we need to to get him un-elected in 2010.

|
I doubt he'll be outspent like that this time 'round, making his prospects VERY good.

Because the line has to be drawn somewhere. It was total, blatant disrespect, not only to Obama, but to the Office of the Presidency.
I'm tired of hearing the apologists say it's no big deal and that we need to move on. Now that he has been officially repremanded, now we CAN move on. And if it happens again during a speech to both Houses, a censure is in order.

It's about time we stood up to the Repukes. I don't buy the martyr or "we should move along" argument, because rules are rules, and seriously, this won't be able to be used against the Democrats at all.

41. It looks like most of the Democrats have had enough |
|
and are drawing the line in the sand. I can only hope.
So they will scream. So what. They're going to scream no matter what. It's like a parent being bullied by a toddler who throws tantrums. The best way to deal with it is to make the kid go to his room and scream all he wants and tell him that when he's done he can come out and play. The toddler very quickly gets the message that tantrums don't have the power they used to. It's amazing how tantrums sort of just die out after that.
