Dear Congress, we the Progressive Left will revolt if you water down the public option and...
...pass an individual mandate without appropriate safeguards to protect the working and middle class. And, by revolt we mean more than is already taking place.

If Congress is going to water down the public option they need to also give up the individual mandate or raise the financial hardship provision to only include those that make more that 500% the federal poverty level.

Making the working class purchase health insurance without it being affordable is plain wrong.

Sincerely,

__________ (affirm by reply below).

5. Affirmed.
Too many experts are on record as stating without a solid public option, there is not enoough competition to lower costs.

No public option = No reform. Period.

9. Time to start a new roster of progressives to run in their place.
We worked and donated money we could not really afford to get them there.
IF they will not do the job, then we replace them, and not let the damned Rs take it back. Yes we can, Yes we did, Yes we will!

I cannot stand to hand it back to the same repukes that got us here or the same dims that are keeping us here. We have started over before, we will again.

Same goes for the president we push for a new progressive Im sick to death of the same shit every time.

I am not shooting at them. I just think it is time for real new leadership we need to be able to say , You had your chance , we need to clean house.

Not the word progressive in front of any other party name

A New Party PROGRESSIVE, not beholden to any previous pablum.

25. I am not ready to be driven out of the Democratic Party. I intend to stay and fight.
What you are suggesting sounds good but it would be extremely hard to start a new progressive party. I feel the DLC'ers are trying to push the progressives out of the party leaving those that are ok with CorpAmerica running the government.

20. Water it down?
The senate one doesn't even have one. OH AND if anybody here actually read DU Late breaking news they might understand why some of us feel fucking HAD by Obama-here's a nice tidbit:

Under the Baucus legislation, private insurer could also charge older individuals up to five times more for coverage. “You’re just using age as a proxy for health status,” Uwe Reinhardt, an economics professor at Princeton University told the New York Times. Reinhardt estimates that “Senator Baucus’s age-rating plan would allow insurers to cover roughly 70 percent of the additional risk they’d take on by being required to accept all comers, regardless of health.”

So removing pre-existing conditions is somewhat of a sham. Just hope you get sick young! Change I believe in.
