.......Very fitting and appropriate.....I remember that night in Seattle. I was doing part time work with AP and they needed an extra photographer so I made myself available. The story Matthews was speaking of Powell saying there would be no night I remembered as I was sitting in the press gallery when word was coming down that polls were saying Carter was going down in a landslide defeat and he was being informed by Powell on board AF1 between Portland Or and Seattle...

It was a memorable night that ended at 0145a in a little hanger on Boeing Field...Thank you Chris for remembering that moment and thank you Mr Powell for your service to the President and the country.
