What I just realized about Republican elected officials |
|
Either in a moment of total clarity or perhaps not, I realized that the vast majority (if not all) Republicans are elected most likely not for what they know, or possibly can do as a thinker, but most likely are elected out of hate. That is why they are the Party of Hate. Not the Party of "no". As much as it may sadden me to think that this may be true, from what I am seeing, it is true. They are voted in by others just like themselves, for being hateful of gays, hateful of blacks, hateful of women, hateful of the environment, hateful of the Constitution, hateful of facts and telling the truth, hateful of the poor and middle class, hateful of minorities, hateful of diversity of spiritual beliefs, hateful of just about everything good that this Country stands for. They now stand for everything hate- filled.

And I hate it.
Actually, I think there are two kinds of Republican. The lower ranks, which include many politicians as well as most of the voters, are small-minded bigots who live their lives in denial of their own ignorance, while the leadership--the upper ranks among the politicians and most of the prominent religious leaders and propagandists, are cynical psychopaths who use the hates and fears of the rabble to control them.

6. I disagree. It's about love. Love of money. Specifically, love of corporate money, foreign or |
|
domestic.
This love trumps all, including love of country & its citizens.
Thom Hartmann once asked Tom Trancredo to name just one piece of republican legislation that benefitted Main St. over Wall St.
Tancredo could not answer Thom's question.
There has to have been at least one good piece. I just cannot recall of any myself.
