Baucus' bill: I want to trade Obama's "Yes we can" for Howard Dean's "we can do better than that" |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-16-09 11:59 AM by DFW
Obligate low- and middle-income citizens to choose between paying for health insurance and feeding their families?
And then fine them if they make the "wrong" choice?
What kind of a choice is THAT? Can we accept that as the Senate's final word? NO WE CAN'T.
I'm REALLY curious to hear Obama's take on this. Like Howard says: WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT.
The last thing I want to see right now is our first black president waving a white flag.

1. Your headline sounds like Obama has morphed into Baucus, |
|
and Howard Dean can now win elections?

3. Considering what has gone down of late |
|
I'd bet Howard could indeed win an election or two. Too bad he doesn't live in Connecticut, for example. Next year, Vermont would have three Senators!

2. " Better than that" would be Single Payer... |
|
and I do not think Single Payer is what Baucus has in mind.

4. As far as I can tell, exactly one person likes this bill |
|
Max Baucus.
The Republicans won't go for it, and neither will anyone else. The only people who think this is IMPORTANT are the corporate media.
