A Prayer To God – Praise Jesus

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before you to ask that you take away the health and health insurance coverage for the many Christians that oppose health care reform. I pray that you allow them to witness first hand what it is like to be without health care coverage and have a medical condition that drains their life savings. Dear God, I ask that you go as far as to let them become seriously ill and be denied coverage after paying it all these years and then be forced to pay outrageous medical bills to the point they lose their homes and need to file bankruptcy. I pray this Dear Lord out of love for the millions that are currently suffering so that we can teach Christians against health care reform how important this initiative is in the lives of us all.

Dear God, these Christians have been taught the love and compassion of Christ and how Christ sacrificed for us all. They know what is right and yet they choose to ignore this lesson and deny those in need the help they require. Sometimes Lord, we need to be taught a hard lesson before we can learn the true meaning of loving our neighbors, loving our enemies (you know those Liberals that act like Jesus). I can imagine everyone of these Christians that are against health care reform would change their mind quickly if they had to watch a loved one suffer, had to fight for the right to get medical care and coverage that is denied and then to watch everything they own be taken away. Imagine as they suffer while living on the street and then suddenly realize the meaning of love toward fellow humans, fellow Americans. Imagine when they realize the capitalistic greed of the Insurance Companies, and the Health Care Industry is killing all of us slowly and that they are the true enemies of compassion, love, understanding, care and mercy. They just might listen to you Lord. Please reveal to them the truth of love. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen

6. While we're at it...

Perhaps Jesus can point out exactly when it was that He demanded proof of legal residence before He healed anybody...I mean, that is quite obviously what these faux Christians believe. I have read and read and can't find it in the Bible. I have asked my pastor, and she is not able to find it either.
