I so wish I could win a sweepstakes or the lottery or something. I want to pay bills and not work |
|
ya, I know everyone wants that
but I have been sick the last two days and stayed home from work. Heck, I have been really sick practically all summer.
Even though I was sick, I enjoyed not working.
thought I had cancer but it is just crohns...
I wish that I could take time off to heal and learn about this disease so I didn't have to go to work sick
don't mind me...just ranting
I am sure my issues are less than others

3. I am so sorry to hear this. I have a friend with Crohns. |
|
It can be quite debilitating when his flareups happen. :(

5. You are not at all strange. I felt the same way YEARS before I retired. |
|
And the only reason I was able to retire was that I inherited some money from my mother. It had nothing to do with my savings. I didn't have enough.
I am so sorry for your Crohn's disease. I had a boss with that many years ago and she had a rough time of it. I wish you could go on disability and get some peace and quiet in order to heal and feel better.
Thanks for sharing your views today. I feel somehow vindicated for all those same thoughts I had for years even before I retired (pretty much forcibly; you get old, you get pushed out after all you've done).

happiness, my friend....
Of course, then again, that is just something rich people tell everyone else lower than them so they can keep all the money to themselves.
Seriously, money has the ability to make people happy, especially when it pays the mortgage and bills, or as far as this country is concerned, medical bills. The only people with money who aren't "happy" are the ones that hoard it all to themselves and earn more and more at the expense of others and have not a shred of charity in their blood.
Well, anyway, here's to your health :toast:

can't even fathom. It doesn't buy you happiness, but it buys you relief from worrying about how to subsist.

9. it is a good thing my classroom is near a restroom |
|
but there are times I don't have a para in my room so I can run out if I need to
I realize money doesnt' buy happiness, but if I could pay off about 3 things, I could actually stay home and not be so stressed

did they put you on prednisone? i didn't especially enjoy that medicine. better than cancer by far, though. i was very worried about that. i have been grateful every day since that it wasn't that, in fact.

13. I'm so sorry - it's true, if you don't have your health... |
|
And that's the American dream (for me, anyway), have enough money -- more than enough -- so I don't have to put up with the bullshit any more.
Take care! :pals:

i've been ill for 20 years with severe chronic fatigue syndrome. i also have irritable bowel syndrome. fortunately after 1-1/2 years of fighting social security i was awarded disability. i also have a husband with a good job. it makes life easier, but i'd rather have less money and good health.
i've been seeing an acupuncturist/herbalist for 6 months and my IBS is 60% better.

17. My son in law has the same thing |
|
Diagnosed with Crohns nearly two years ago. We thought he'd have to have an ostomy bag installed but a couple of days in the hospital and some drugs fixed him up for a while.
However, he's got issues going on again. Probably because he's stressed out and not eating properly, both of which can aggravate the condition badly.
I can't even imagine having that. I have IBS, but apparently it's not nearly as painful and annoying as Crohns is.
anyway, you have my sympathies. I know how terrible it can make you feel.

If I miss a day of work, I don't get paid. And missing a full day is impossible to lose money wise for me.

it seems we just can't get the right combo of drugs to work right
mean time I am losing weight (not that I mind that I am down to 110 lbs) but I am probably severely malnourished
and I either hurt all the time or am tired all teh time
