Anyone else find it odd that Joe Wilson says he apologized to President Obama, when he didn't
Joe Wilson keeps saying that he already apologized to the president and that should be the end of it. Actually he apologized to Rahm Emanuel and Joe Biden. So why didn't Wilson go straight to the man he actually needed to apologize to. I mean if I insult you I don't go and apologize to your friend I apologize to you. It's just funny how Wilson could scream "You Lie" while pointing at the president, but couldn't make one phone call to the President himself. Very telling.

Yeah I know it's politico, sorry.

It says he called the white house and got Rahm Emanuel. I just find it odd that he didn't make an effort to set up an appointment with President Obama for a face to face apology, which he had every right to do as US congressman. The President would have been more than happy to accept. It seems he didn't really make much of an effort. Almost like "Well I called the white house told Rahm I was sorry, guess I'm off the hook." Seems he should have seek out the President if he was really sincerely sorry.

16. Yea, politico. I wonder why and/or wish the WH would set the
story straight, whatever it is. They probably prefer this 'very important episode' will just die. I can't blame them there either.

2. He called the White House and Rahm is as far as he could get.
He also insulted Congress, though, by his behavior, and that's what the whole vote was about. Meanwhile, Joe Wilson is using it all to raise campaign funds.

8. That would be sweet, but I think we'd hear outrage from the Right if that had occurred. nt

5. Tweety pointed that out last night. I personally don't think Wilson would
deign to speak to a black man who is far more important than he is -- don't think he can quite come to grips with that.

Instead of calling Kanye West a jackass, Obama should've called Wilson a jackass.

Wilson should be fired.
If I called MY BOSS a liar, do you think I'd still have my job???

NOT!!

The President is not the boss of joe wilson..his constituents are..but, wilson broke the Rules of The House and still some Dems thought it wasn't worth their time to call him on it.

14. Obama is NOT Wilson's boss.
The Congress is a co-equal NOT SUBORDINATE branch of government. The Supreme Court doesn't take orders from Obama, either.

The people of Wilson's district are his boss.

What an odd idea of American government you have.

12. I actually heard Glenn Beck (I think) on the radio this morning
Going into great detail about how Joe Wilson called the President and apologized and he went so far as to say how he gave credit to the President for "picking up the phone" and accepting Wilson's heartfelt apology. I'm pretty sure it was Beck anyway. Whoever it was was certainly happy to be lying.
