They were afraid that Conan was going to jump ship. Don't know whether he hinted at that, and, five years ago, Conan was apparently king. But Leno stayed popular. I have yet to watch a single Tonight Show with Conan.

I usually watch 1970's Emergency reruns at 10pm. How many CSI and CSI clones can one stand? His show is so bad I don't think we need to worry about him more than a few weeks anyway.

What is airing now are just reruns.

Next week will be the test and there are many shows that have dedicated viewers who might TiVo Leno but they won't give up their programs. That is why NBC has been in last place for so many years, the other networks offer better programs.
