Engineers opt for ballots

KATHMANDU: Nepal Engineers Association (NEA), the umbrella organisation of all engineers in the country and recognised for introducing an electronic election system here in Nepal, is to hold election by ballots on its 28th executive committee polls on Wednesday, owing to flaws in the computer election system.
Talking to the Post, Sanjeev Baral, an engineer at the Ministry of Local Development and a member of the NEA, said that a study on the unexpected results of the NEA’s 27th Executive Committee election two years ago led to the discovery of a number of flaws in the computerised election system.
