1. It truly is a great movie.... |
|
thanks for the link, I'd show it to my conspiracy nut, libertarian brother but odds are he would just scoff the moment he heard the words "Michael Moore".

2. Posted to my Facebook. |

The most alarming thing in it for me was the Nixon scene. Ford should have been hanged for pardoning that bastard.

3. The first time I watched this |
|
I had tears by the time it got to the 79 y/o man cleaning toilets. The second time I lasted about 10 minutes more. I guess I'm a baby but it's hard to even imagine this, seeing it is just heartbreaking.

4. I lost it when Moore took the 9/11 firemen to Cuba to get help for their poisoning. |

The EPA certified the air at Ground Zero as safe to breathe, even though there were heavy metal particulates, asbestos, and concrete dust in the air. They couldn't get help for health insurance coverage, but Cuba's system covered them free of charge.
But the part that nailed me to the wall was where that small Cuban fire battalion wanted to hold a humble ceremony honoring the 9/11 firemen Moore had brought to Cuba.
In that scene, I remember thinking these firemen were being treated better by the Cuban gov't and the people of Cuba than our own federal gov't was willing to treat these firemen. That hit me hard. Any pride I had left in America was shattered. I felt so much despair afterward.
