that will be the beginning of the end for our current system.
The difficulty is, it's hard to see how you could end that symbiotic relationship between the wealthy and politicians.
The wealthy and corporations always pay attention to politics because of greed--they see it as a quick and easy way to grab more money through government contracts or changing laws to make immoral behavior legal.
The rest of us only pay attention to politics in a crisis--we see a problem, work to solve it, and when things are corrected back into our comfort zone, we go back to sleep.
It's kind of like a battle between the Terminator and a narcoleptic. Eventually, we'll take a nap at a fatal moment.
