If Dems pass the Baucus Health Plan and the president signs it--we deserve to lose in '10
Sorry but the more I hear about the Baucus plan on television and newspapers the more I see it as another big giveaway to the the Insurance Industry. This is a BAD bill. Baucus couldn't even get any Republicans to support this valentine to the insurance industry. Defeat it in committee!

The lessons to the democrats is to pass a good solid bill with a public option and stop worrying about getting GOP support. They won't support anything the dems come up with.

Why even bring this up? If you think this bill has a snowball's chance in hell of even being considered, you're nuts.

But I agree...IF...IF...it passes, we should all just say fuck it and face the fact that we've been totally sold out. But that is a very, very, VERY big if.

8. I actually believe with just a little tweaking it will pass and be signed by Obama
The Administration has been pretty clear that this is very close to what they want. Pelosi has intimated the House will go along and accept Co-Ops in the place of Public Option. I suspect there will be both Co-Ops and a Trigger in the final Bill to help sooth Progressives and No Public Option. This can ONLY happen though if Mass provides an interim Senator to prevent a Republican fillibuster..

2. As if the Dems in office (both branches) will EVER grow a spine. Even after countless examples

of the pukes complaining, the Dems giving up anything of value in a bill, and the pukes still not voting for it - "our" politicians continue to do their worst.

They really don't care. Why should they? They have theirs.

Again - what is the difference between the two parties in the outcomes they produce?

The only thing you have wrong is...

"We" do not deserve to lose. The cretins in office do.

On second thought, maybe we do deserve to lose. After all, we are the voters that keep electing these traitors.

5. Jay Rockefeller says he won't vote for it in its current form.
With 13 Democrats and 10 Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee, one more Democratic defector would kill it there.

They need to start all over from scratch, excluding Republicans from further discussion.
