Matt Latimer, a former special assistant to the president for speechwriting, is the author of a new book titled "Speech-less: Tales of a White House Survivor," which includes a number of embarrassing Bush anecdotes including the assertion that the former president was confused about the very concept of the conservative political movement.

"Do you know how many people have emailed me and said, 'Who the heck is Matt Latimer?'" Dana Perino asked. "Who is this young man? What is he talking about? He doesn't think the president understands the conservative movement? This is a man who won the presidency twice, with a larger margin on the reelection, so how could he possibly not understand the conservative movement?"
