It's Not About ACORN, Per Se, It's About VOTES
Voter registration

ACORN has conducted large-scale voter registration drives since at least the 1980s,<15> focusing primarily on poor and minority citizens.

that's what this is REALLY about. it's not about tax dollars, or anything else.

it's about VOTES. it's about VOTE SUPPRESSION. republicans saw the inroads democratic candidates have been making. this is another way to try to suppress the vote, by threatening and intimidating an organization so other voter registration drives and get out the vote organizations feel they could be next.

this is about keeping the vote of the poor, the disenfranchised, and minorities down. period.
