3. Not rich.
The median income for a household in the village was $32,243, and the median income for a family was $44,625. Males had a median income of $31,950 versus $20,893 for females. The per capita income for the village was $18,327. About 3.0% of families and 5.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.3% of those under age 18 and 2.9% of those age 65 or over.

4. Nope. Just an average community that happens to be in a beautiful setting....
..... Traverse City is where the wealthy tend to congregate in that part of the state.

5. Join Michael Moore...
Thanx for posting this, I'll have to wait for the movie to
come to my area. Moore is to me a true patriot, loved his 9-11
and his 'The Big One', but I greatly disliked the Roger and Me
movie because he showed a rabbit being killed without any
warning. I don't like being ambushed, having seen my share of
violent death. Also I'm one of those tree-hugging
animal-rights kinda folks.

Again, thanx! I'm new here, hoping to find some friends from
the old Alternet / New Cafe forums. And new friends.

Oh, and I write stories where animals win. Pretty crazy, eh?
EHHH?

I first heard about DU from a fellow at the old Alternet
forums, now New Cafe. Kokomo was his username there, hoping to
find him here. I highly recomment the New Cafe, check out
Currents if ya get the time.

Say, can you tell me how to find ongoing discussions here?
Again, Thanx for the Warm Welcome, looking forward to reading
your work!

PEACE and Low Stress, I LOVE that vibe!
