Are there any successfull countries
Edited on Thu Sep-17-09 09:46 PM by Justicekthx
That practice what the right wing wants and still remain free?the only ones i can find are dictatorships with the overwhelming majority of there people suffering in poverty or still practice slavery, kills women for charges of adultery etc.

What i mean by successfull is standard of living.

11. Welcome to DU. I think others are being offensive toward you.
One or more of them have a pattern of this type of behavior. I can't apologize for their insensitive behavior, but I can say we're not all like that. :hi:

26. As long as you weren't Jewish, gay, handicapped, etc and did what you were told, you were free
And under the GOP, as long as you're not gay, African-American, Hispanic, athiest, Wiccan, etc and do as you're told like a good Christian, you'll be just fine as well. :sarcasm:

17. a lot of people thought fascism was the way to go
thought Hitler had his head on straight. Sound labor policies like banning workers from quitting their jobs. Many bosses over here would have loved that.

Some still think Hitler gets a bad rap. Pat Buchanan for one.

19. I keep waiting for the RW hacks to just finally say that 'fascism' has too many negative connotation...
I mean if you look at some of the tenants of fascism, which are corporatism, indoctrination, xenophobia, anti-liberalism, authoritarianism, and militarism, they line up pretty well with the current ideology of the political right in the US. So they really should start trying to revise history and removing the negativity associationed with the word.

What I find quite ironic is that so many RW hacks accuse Obama of socialism, yet they don't realize their own ideology is much closer to fascism.

27. I have actually heard right-wingers say that Hitler did a pretty good job
They say his only problem was that he got too greedy, and the whole "Jewish thing". Other than that, they think he did a pretty good job.

22. Weren't they funded by international bankers and extremely wealthy individuals?
I don't think they kept up the illusion of prosperity without massive external inputs of cash. Not to mention that the poor didn't all advance. Organized propaganda agencies made sure they weren't seen from day one of the Nazi regime with the brown shirts and SS making sure dissent never became an issue. Shades of BushCo* much?

The Nazis also seized the property of the Jewish population and invaded Austria and Poland to seize their treasuries (gold stores) in order to perpetrate the illusion.

Republican/Neoliberal economic policies have done to the countries that have adopted them.
