Maternity Leave: The Global Comparison of a Work/Life Benefit
I read the story of the Ottawa man getting maternity leave along with his wife after the birth of there twins. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/ottawa/story/2009/09/18/twin-leaves.html

So I found this article on google. Seems Australia and the USA are the only industrialized countries that don’t provide paid leave for new mothers nationally. http://www.ethiopianreview.com/business/274

1. some of the replies on the canadian one are surprising.... they are your kids and
taxes will go up... wtf! I don't know if those are canadian responses or if americans are responding... but it is so taxing with just one kid for crying out loud!! no sleep... and with my first daughter i got six weeks and then had to go back to work. i was SOOO tired and not really physically ready for it either. but who cares right... I thank god I can stay home and take care of my kids now. I feel so lucky to even have the choice.
