1. you need to check out "Journey of Man"
produced by PBS.

Excellent documentary -- they proved it via DNA.

They had a new show on that, too. The story about the African-American guy with a European Y chromosome was interesting.

3. Oh, no, they di'n't.
Our ancestors were Adam and Eve. They were created by God in the Garden of Eden 6,000 years ago. And they rode to church every Sunday on the back of a dinosaur. What is this blasphemous nonsense about that there mito-whatever DNA stuff?

personally, I'm glad that to be partnered outside my own ethnic group. Saves worrying about bizarre plot twists, which is not to be sneezed at.

21. At one point, Earth's land was one giant lump. Not the continents we know them to be.
We all came from Earth, if anybody wants to really get technical, without bias or editorializing in any cherrypicked form.

23. I wonder if creationists would refuse DNA testing in a loved one's case
If they accepted it they'd "have to" accept evolution. Of course, they'd have a very creating explanation of why using DNA to prove guilt/innocence is OK but using DNA to understand the origin of homo sapiens is bogus. Can't wait to read it.
