Hefty fines would normally be leveled at violaters as well as potential arrest (if they are caught in the act after being made aware of federal law.)

that once any animal becomes an inconvenience, nuisance or bother to any human, he/she/them MUST be killed. It doesn't matter the level of bother, no sir. 24. Those birds can deliver a nasty bite. And they will sneak up on you from on high to deliver it.

The part in the article about the officers' actions being consistent with what DOA might have done is beyond asinine. They probably would have caught all five of the birds and taken them to another spot.

The only solace we can take in this situation is that these two officers will be the butt of seagull jokes for the rest of their careers. They will never live this incident down.
