1. Sometimes it's just perfect, isn't it? |
|

My husband plays the piano, classical and jazz...
We've had our neighbors tell us how much they enjoy hearing him on nights when the windows are open...
:hi:

5. Yes, it is....sometimes perfect.. |
|
....and if it's "not perfect"....it's only b/c we don't want to realize how wonderful it is to be ALIVE.
I'm in a *shitty situation*, like many of us.....but we are ALIVE and happy! :-) <..joy, happiness, and laughter (no sarcasm)
The "money-changers" can't bankrupt our joy with their paper money, which has NO VALUE WHATSOEVER......they can go bankrupt themselves with in-home theatres and state-of-the-art kitchens, when people WHO REALLY KNOW HOW TO do things and solve problems. Will we help them when they ask????
I will help them in as much as they have helped me.

4. Surefire steps to finding a missing cat. ... !. Sell the violin. |
|
2. Put the violin in a box that once housed a HD TeeVee.
3. Put box in back of neighbor's pickup truck parked on the street.

8. I went back to playing piano after running away from it for |
|
20 years. Now I'm playing for the choir at the job and playing a lot, getting better and having the time of my life with it. Something about it feels real. Like if I can just touch a couple of people, it's magic. Makes me feel better than winning cases when I was trying cases in a courtroom. Making people smile and giving them earworms. LOL

11. Hearing good/original/innovative music is ALWAYS a pleasure. |
|
But don't feel pressure....good/original/innovative musice always must begin with practicing through 'the basics'.....and we love to hear those as well! (okay, I'm lying....but you've got to step before you can leap).
Peace, M_Y_H

15. Good for you, Stuball! |
|
Did you take your handle from the song Stewball that the Chad Mitchell Trio did?
I started out playing the piano when I was a child, and a bit later (10 years old) I took up the fiddle. Tried to teach myself guitar, but could not learn it. I can only think in "piano" and "Fifths".
I can't think in fourths. Maybe you can shift gears and learn the fiddle.
The problem with string instruments is that even if you're talented and have a good ear, it takes about three years to stop scratching with the bow!
However, I do have a Fender Jazz Bass (no frets) tuned in fifths like a cello C-G-D-A. So I can play that. And I can read bass clef since I'm a piano player. That works out.
:D

14. I wish I could hear some nice harmonic music |
|
maybe piano, something classical but all I ever get from my neighbors is some indistinct banging on drums. Oh, and very late at night there always is some asshat who likes to zoom down my road blasting his music to the point where you can't even hear the motor. So basically it just sounds like a boom box zooming past your house at 1 in the morning.
Boy, I gotta move to your neighborhood. :hi:
