On Univision - Obama says public option still on the table
Edited on Sun Sep-20-09 11:39 AM by pdxmom
So which of the Sunday shows actually made some news? It was Univision.

"Obama, appearing on the Spanish-language Univision's "Al Punto" program on Sunday, rejected the idea that he had abandoned the public (or "government-run") option for which he'd expressed much previous support.

"I absolutely do not believe that it's dead," Obama told Univision. "I think that it's something that we can still include as part of a comprehensive reform effort."

3. On another one of the shows, the reporter introduced a question with the bogus (paraphrasing) "Now
that you've taken the public option off the table..." to which the President replied - "I have not taken the PO off the table and still think we will ..."

It was either Gregory or King, I think.

4. We hear from the pundits almost daily that the public option is dead. But
no one ever actually puts it directly to Obama. I thought his statement on Univision was very direct and strong. The M$M definitely has an agenda and doesn't want to report this.
