I gotta remember to slam Rush fans with that myself. I was disgusted with ESPN for putting Limbaugh on there in the first place. He had absolutely nothing to offer. Was some inbred half-wit, that wasn't a sports fan in the first place, going to start watching their NFL coverage because he was on there?
Olbermann doesn't bring his Countown act into it on NBC. Rush couldn't wait to get into politics on ESPN.
That whole McNabb thing he went off on was ridiculous. There hadn't been a black quarterback controversy for about 25 years before that. Put an black QB in, and if he wins, you have a stadium full of fat white guys wearing his jersey the next week!

5. There is more than that to love

KO also does a fine job on a blog called "Baseball Nerd." He holds forth on various and sundry baseball things of the MLB kind and is, as is his habit in other things, very good at it.

It is patently obvious in these observations that the lesson here is while the "right" has quite a bit of coverage and seems to dominate the "stupid" market, not a one of them, save occasionally George Will who is absolutely no hater, has any depth. Observing them is like looking at children's line drawn attempts at cartooning or whatever they call it. It is fascinating to me they can keep the attention of the drooling dunderheads they seem to attract with so little to add to their lives. I suppose the denizens of the outer limits right are simply there because they simply cannot imagine a life with any kind of depth or feeling.

Anyway, being able to read about intelligent media figures is a pleasure. To me, even more pleasurable is the rage the right wing loonies express at him being on their beloved sports shows. You can just see them sputtering and drooling and flapping their arms that such a person could actually have sports-related views. I suppose lost on them is their gallant knight's of venality only hold forth on whatever librul demon has dared walk between them and their television set in the window at the appliance store down on Main Street.
