WH:"We figured Fox would rather show So You Think You Can Dance than broadcast an honest discussion"

The president was interviewed on five different talk shows Sunday, but skipped Fox News, a decision that the White House implied was based on the network's ideological bent and its decision not to broadcast the president's address to Congress last week.

"We figured Fox would rather show So You Think You Can Dance than broadcast an honest discussion about health insurance reform," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told ABC News. Earnest was referring to the TV show FOX TV broadcast September 9 instead of the president's speech.

"Fox is an ideological outlet where the president has been interviewed before and will likely be interviewed again," Earnest told ABC. "Not that the whining particularly strengthens their case for participation any time soon."

5. However, I bet
the White House would have NEVER scheduled a press conference during the Monday Night Football time slot. And IF they did, guess which would be on. . .

You can't blame Fox for not screwing around with the timing of a LIVE SHOW - a very very popular live show. They had 2.6 million phone calls at the season finale just a few weeks before. That would be a LOT of pissed of people.

8. I pointed this out that night, and some DUer told me to "calm down"
Wonder if she'll suggest the White House "calm down" about it.
