This morning's RW talking points: Obama is overexposing himself.

Perhaps there are some hard feelings since it's obvious Obama gets that "It's the media, stupid".

He's now "trying to control the media". Duh...How does it feel?

Not only is his message getting "diluted" from
"overexposure" but he also "doesn't understand his own health plan".

Snubbing Faux News was a brilliant stroke but now there will be hell to pay.

He is going to be on Letterman this evening, so tomorrow should see a continuation of these talking points, with a fine mixture of cherry picking sentences from his five interviews taken out of context.

That is all.

1. Well, we know he's not.. He's getting on as many shows and outlets that will allow him
to push for health care reform. He's hitting all spectrums because not everyone sits around glued to political pundits who are just jealous no one wants to see them. Obama is a get... People like to watch him. he's intelligent, thoughtful, and normally tells things very straight forward, but not in a condescending way.

2. They have been spouting that one since it was announced that he
would be be on 5 talk shows.

One went so far as to say he was destroying the secrecy of the Presidency.

4. Yawn...
Another rushpublican damned if you do, damned if you don't game. A couple weeks ago we were hearing from the corporate media how the President wasn't explaining himself or what he wants in health care reform. There are those who are all but ready to bury reform (including some DUers) because he either didn't speak up earlier or not enough.

Of course the wingnuts are going to complain he's "overexposed"...just like they keep calling him a "celebrity"...it's their on-going efforts to delegitimize this Administration and frame President Obama as being inept or ineffective. This is the same box they put Carter in and all but put Clinton in.

I still enjoy hearing him speak...far more refreshing than listening to the last rushpublican who could barely walk and chew gum and killed thousands.

19. Ah We Have A Contestant...
And how are these thousands going to die, hero? From the lack of affordable healthcare thanks to the greedy "deregulation" from the Raygun regime that was sent into hyperdrive by the boooshies.

Yep, boooshie has a lot of blood on its hands...Afghans, Iraqis and over 5,000 American troops who lost their lives in a lost cause. Yep, hero...the blood not only drips from his hands BUT YOURS AS WELL.

Bomb shelters? From whom? Sheesh. I lived through the Cold War when there was a real missile threat from the Soviets...I didn't hide in a shelter...sorry, not a chickenshit like you are. I'll bet you also bought all the Y2K shit you could cause for sure we were all going to die then. What a loser.

Gotta suck living a life of fear and hatred...but then sucks to be you overall.

Now back to freeperland with you...

11. Predictable and predicted. "Media Overexposes 'Obama Is Overexposed' Complaint"
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=8663169&mesg_id=8663169

snip//

For the political right and the corporate media--especially those three- or four-hour-a-day radio and cable TV hosts--whining that Obama hits the screens too much, or is in general "doing too much," is their way of telling him to be more like a Republican president than a Democratic one: To do nothing on health care, economic justice, student loans, or whatever the issue may be. Oh, they tell the president, make the occasional speech that we can hype as do-or-die, but then obey the status quo lobby's instructions: Shut up and don't annoy the scaaarrry Republicans. (Hey, Max Baucus--BOO!)

But wasn't it just last week that Obama was criticized, and rightly so, for underexposing himself during that crucial month of August when, as Frank Rich wrote, the crazies were "poisoning the national discourse while the president bided his time"? And in fairness, some talking heads aren't buying the "overexposed" canard. "We live in 24-hour news cycles now," former McCain media consultant Mark McKinnon told ABC, "and if the president isn't filling the vacuum, his opponents will be."

snip//

Could it be that the sight of this attractive, adroit, reasonable, and unflappable black man hurts GOP peepers? It's probably a lot like seeing the girl who beat you out of prom queen in homeroom every day. He's a constant reminder of their own political and ideological collapse, and it's just too much that he goes about his job with far more worldwide acceptance than poor old George W. Bush.

They know that the more that the public sees President Obama, the more his favorability rating stays HIGH.

32. They be real skeeyeard...
Especially when he gives campigh style speeches at college campuses.

An aside. Obama tried to hold back a grin when he mentioned the public option and the students roared with approval.
