Did John Ensign use campaign funds to pay off his mistress
her husband and their son.

Why is there an investigation re the other John (Edwards) and not the FAMILY hypocrites?

1. Silly . . . it's only news if Democrats do it.

2. actually I would be amazed if there weren't one
Contrary to what the Bush department often did, the Justice Dept actually knows how to conduct investigations in a professional manner, which means no leaks. We didn't know Edwards was being investigated for months after the affair story broke.

3. Not Just Campaign Funds, But Tax Evasion...
I've heard there's an investigation underway...but I agree, as usual, the rushpublican hypocrisy on this cheating douchenozzle is getting little to no attention. You damn well know if this were a Democrat...specifically a prominent one, the corporate media would be relentless. Faux would do 24/7 coverage and it wouldn't stop until they got blood.

There's a ton of legal questions about Ensign's payoffs...not just using the funds from his re-election campaign (or even better RSCC funds...which he may have used as well...which is fine, I'd rather see it go to hush up his affair than in a race that mattered), but also some serious questions of tax evasion. Hopefully there is something happening...sounds like the agrieved husband isn't going to go away soon. Stay tuned, here's hoping this story becomes a big issue next year.

7. I've Got A $500 Check going to ACORN...
And I'm ready to send more. They obviously have hit a real nerve with the wingnuts (BTW...one trolling on another thread right now I'm toying with) and if that's the case, they not only need our support with words but money as well.

Yesterday I took a long road trip and every AM hate radio station (and there were tooo many) all were ranting about ACORN like a bunch of one-note dub monkeys...no original thought, just conjecture and spin.

Yep, Norton ran one of the most corrupt agencies...but I think we can also add Porter Goss at CIA to the list...corrupt to the core and doing the job the boooshie regime told them to do...destroy all they could while they could.

11. Norton didn't just run a corrupt department
She's in big trouble with that Shell deal and then leaving to work with them.

The ACORN sting stinks. Dems should defend their own until there is proof of wrong-doing. This was one sleazy set up.

9. His Momma and Papa paid $96,000, but you were close
I think it's sweet that an adult his age can still get his mommy and daddy to bail him out of his sex-capades with some cold hard hush money. What a little maggot he is.

10. Remember the severance package to the mistress;
remember the money for the son. The parents paid additional hush money.
