LA Times calls anti-ACORN spray-paint "art," not graffiti or vandalism
Despite the illegal nature of the act (private businesses were defaced), and despite the fact that these tags are only plain text with no illustrative content, nowhere in the headline or the story is this action referred to by any other term than "art."

The controversy over ACORN workers who answered questions about starting a prostitution business while being secretly videotaped has moved to Echo Park.

As art.

Residents in Echo Park and surrounding communities have noticed spray painted signs on at least a few walls that state: "ACORN Funded Prostitution Zone" in black letters. They have been noticed by local photographers as well as Eastsider L.A. and Curbed L.A.

Like the Obama/Joker street art of a few months ago, the artist is so far anonymous. And, of course, it's unclear whether it's political commentary or irony.

3. More abuse of the word "irony". The more proper term would be sarcasm or facetiousness.
Irony means something like "an odd coincidence", IIRC.

4. Oh, some asshat "decorated" the nearby pedestrian tunnel under the 101 Fwy
with a lot of disgusting anti-Obama RW crap recently, spouting Beckisms and Rushisms. Thank god someone came along and covered it up. Art, my ass. The RW has gangs of taggers doing their bidding, probably for pay.
