The McChrystal memo leak is either a Cheney operation at its core, or... |
|

Cheney is picking it up and using it to his advantage.
Whenever Cheney shifts into high gear, Bob Woodward just happens to show up in the middle of the road.
If you didn't notice, Bob Woodward was in on EVERYTHING in Cheney's White House for all eight years.
Bob Woodward works for Dick Cheney.
Stay tuned...

4. The Woodward book I read was not flattering to Cheney. Woodward more in the Powell/Armitage camp |
|
and they are definitely not big on Cheney.
What is this "McChrystal Memo"????

Plame leak. They failed. But you shouldn't put Woodward in the Armitage camp for the work he did for Cheney. The endgame is all that's real. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/20/AR2009092002920.html

Yes, I do remember that. It was kind of a red herring, as Woodward never reported anything about Plame. So there was no way it could help Libby.
I hope some day somebody does a definitive book on Plame. (Probably won't be Woodward, eh???)

non-story. Similar to what the poster above mentioned. I'm going from memory here but I think he said it on one of the Sunday shows.

11. Interestingly, he didn't even tell his editors about the so-called Armitage interview. |
|
And he waited until it seemed that all the evidence had come in before going public (or to Patrick Fitzgerald). But after Woodward went public, another witness came forward and showed that Armitage HAD NOT BEEN the original source of information as Woodward's interview would have otherwise shown.
It's always been my opinion that they staged the "interview" after the fact in order to clear Cheney.

12. I posted about this last week |
|
I had just finished the book "Where Men Win Glory" about Pat Tillman.
In it, McChrystal is identified as a Cheney "favorite", one of his pipelines into the Pentagon. He also was one of the chief instigators of the fraud cooked up about how Tillman died and how the administration tried to use his death as propaganda. A really slimy character.
Cheney left these little stinkbombs all throughout our government. Why a Democratic Senate voted to promote McChrystal to the rank of General and hand him the Afghanistan command is beyond me.

13. I know nothing abougt McChrystal. |
|
I heard Woodward on the radio this morning and knew Cheney was up to something.
But you're like the sixth person I've seen make the case today that McChrystal is a Cheney guy.
The people who propagated the Tillman stories should be investigated for murder.

And the Tillman cover-up was so obvious and so corrupt that it should have disqualified McChrystal from this job in the first place.
It's a requirement for the military to ship the soldier's uniform, helmet, and items held on their person when killed with the body. It's essential for the doctor performing the autopsy to help form a forensic cause of death. When none of this arrived with Tillman's body (it was all burned in Afghanistan) the doctor performing the autopsy was so angry he wanted to bring charges. Both doctors who performed the autopsy refused to sign it because these items were missing. Apparently the real target for the mass burning was to destroy Tillman's diary, which his brother had specifically asked for when he was told of his death immediately after it happened (his brother served in the same unit and was there when Tillman was killed).
And McChystal, Cheney's guy on the spot, was up to his neck in these shenanigans. And he's rewarded with a promotion and a command.
