Is there anyone else who gets blinded by some of the headlights being used on cars now? I'm not talking high beams either. It seems to me any regulations involving them, if there ever were, have gone by the wayside. I feel like I'm under an interrogation spotlight at least once or twice each night driving.....

11. I think the OP refers to xenon lamps |
|
Halogen lamps have been around since the '70s; I've used aftermarket halogens for about 20 years, and they aren't that much brighter or "whiter" than the old tungsten lamps. The ones that give off that blinding blueish-white light are xenon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headlamp#HID_.28xenon.29_light_sources

2. Oh, I agree. They're terrible. |

I have to focus on the white line at the right side of the road when I meet one of these things at night.

3. They bother me less than cars with one headlight or otherwise invisible cars. |
|
With bright lights i can just watch the sideline instead of the car. Some cars I just can't see at all.

6. The halogen headlights are really aweful, especially on curves |

Where you have to be very sure of being able to see the road. It's irritating as hell having to grope with your eyes just to see your lane.

7. I just want to know where I can get those lights for a '92 Talon/Eclipse. |

Seriously, even with my foglights and highbeams on, I can't put out half the light of those halogen projector lights. I like them, they look sharp.

8. The truck/SUV/momvan lights are always a problem |
|
because they're up so much higher than on passenger cars.
I have a lot of vision problems and don't drive after dark unless I'm desperate, like when my dad was dying and my cat was threatening to. I find I don't have problems with properly aimed halogen lights on cars.
Those damn truck lights can be brutal, though.

9. I *HATE* those things! |

Night driving is risky enough with all of the deer we have. Those things blind me from miles away.
I don't think they should be legal. What is the supposed advantage?

automatic lens cleaners to reduce glare to oncoming drivers. This is not required in North America. So you'll get beam blasted here. Those oncoming lights are not a problem in Europe or Asia.
