In the years before 9/11 it was very easy for me to come across the border from Mexico. I didn't need to show a driver's license or anything, the guy would just ask me a question like "where you from?" and I'd say "Al-a-baaam-a" and they'd be "welcome back to the USA." I could walk in with pockets full of cubans and carrying bags with more liters of Tequila than I was supposed to have without paying taxes and nobody would look. Basically they just wanted to hear my accent to make sure I wasn't German or something. I am pale skinned, sandy blond hair. The guy in front of me or behind me with dark skin and hair would be showing all kinds of IDs.

Beyond that, I'm not sure what this jack ass means. Somehow he expects to be treated differently because of his appearance. He's a racist.
