Anyone jump off a barn crying "Catch me, Lord Jesus!" before breaking his or her fool neck? Well, not everyone can party like it's 1842, I guess. Our pastor touched on the subject a few weeks ago, and said that it's actually pretty arrogant and self-indulgent to presume that all of history has just been a big lead-in to the Rapture Ready folks. It's kind of exhausting living in that nervous state of imminent expectation; look for this round to fizzle out as the days, months and years go by and they're still stuck here. Maybe they'll read a few more verses of the Bible and accidentally stumble across Matthew 25.

We can only hope.

I have to admit I'm not clear on this rapture thing: what's the time reference? Is it supposed to happen when it becomes the 21st at a certain place, like Jerusalem or Oral Roberts University, or does it move across the time zones?
