Jenny Sanford fires another round:
Jenny Sanford plans memoir

NEW YORK -- The estranged wife of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is writing a memoir.

Ballantine Books, an imprint of Random House Inc., said Tuesday it will publish Jenny Sanford's "inspirational memoir" in May 2010.

The publisher says Sanford "will grapple with the universal issue of maintaining integrity and a sense of self during life's difficult times."

The book is currently untitled, and financial terms were not disclosed.

Mark Sanford was once a rising star in the Republican Party. He acknowledged in June that he had a yearlong affair with an Argentine woman he called his soul mate.

Jenny Sanford moved out of the governor's mansion in August, but she and her husband have said they're trying to repair their marriage.

Only 8 months away!

Neither of them is thinking of their kids. If those 4 boys joined a gang and sold crank, I wouldn't blame them.

1. I may vomit
I don't care about these people. There is nothing inspirational about a woman who stays with a guy who has publicly humiliated her and her family on the national stage. Just divorce the creep and be done with it.

5. I do.
I agree with Pip AND think Elizabeth and Hillary should have kicked their asshole cheats to the curb.

I didn't have near the money nor influence as any of these three women and I divorced by cheating skank of a husband. I raised a child for years on less than $20,000 as a result, but I didn't feel humiliated and degraded any longer.

2. Wooo-hoooo! She's twisting the knife
By the time Jenny Sanford gets done, her husband won't be able to get elected to dogcatcher. I'm also thinking she may have kept back some interesting little tidbits for the book, too. LOL

This should be a lesson to men in politics everywhere: Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and in possession of a book contract...

:woohoo:

6. How can she be twisting the knife and repairing the marriage at the same time.
:shrugs:

10. She's not "repairing the marriage"
That's PR speak for "I'm getting my ducks in a row before I make a move". By the time this is over, he'll be begging her for a divorce.

She's "repairing her marriage" like Elizabeth Edwards is. I love Elizabeth Edwards. I have to believe she stays with him solely to make sure the kids have as little upheaval as possible. That house is so big they could go days without seeing each other, and I think they probably do.

13. I hear you. But it is no way to live -- in the same house with someone who betrayed you.
I don't care how together you are, it cannot be good for your head.

4. "Inspirational" - yeah, I can see that
Suggested subtitle for Jenny's book: "Parading my private grief and humiliation for a pile of money." No sense going all destitute and stuff just because your husband's a louse.

7. Hey - why not?
If it helps her get money to raise those four boys without having to leverage her louse's political connections, then let her.

I know Jenny is rich to begin with, but making one's own personal money does a lot to overcome the humiliation of having been the third wheel in a cheater's drama.

8. That's what I say
But I'm not sure "inspirational" is quite the adjective I'd use to describe it.

9. She was an investment banker at Lazard Freres & Co.
She may have some really good advice about maximising your return from a divorce settlement.

11. I wonder if her message
will be about how inspiring it is to be born into the stihl family fortune and how difficult it is to make it with a gazillion dollars behind you and every contact in the world at your disposal. I know it will inspire me
