Back in the late 1980s, I remember reading a story about Limbaugh's intense interest in remodeling the bathrooms in one of his homes. All the faucets and handles were gold-plated as well as the throne on which he does his business. Apparently, his toilets were very important to him and were imbued with a regal cachet. He even had wall-to-wall carpeting installed in his large restroom facilities with paintings on the wall.

A few years after that, I remember reading a story on Rush's own website about his remodeling of the bathroom in his broadcasting studio. It gave him great pride and he posted pictures of it. Again, paintings were hung on the wall and his toilet facility was turned into a regal throne where he can spend a lot of time tending to his work.
