The right wing's war on ACORN has turned into a sideshow

Gov. Tim Pawlenty jumped into the ACORN fray Wednesday by ordering a freeze on all state payments to the embattled community-organizer group.

But, as the Star Tribune reports, currently no state funds go to the group. ACORN’s Kevin Whelan told the paper the organization has never gotten money from the state, “and there’s certainly not a dime to cut off right now.”

Wow, Tim, isn't it your job to read and sign bills that reach your desk? How could you not know that? Maybe you should be spending a little less time daydreaming about being President, and a little more time actually governing your state. That kind of thing might look a little bad on your future aspirations.
