Sunday is Gold Star Mother's Day ( a day we should ALL know)

"Given the large numbers of Gold Star mothers and other Gold Star family members who have been created this year, and the many more who will receive Gold Stars, I think it is crucial that they be given appropriate and timely recognition.

You may want to reflect on how you could observe this day and those it represents.

You may also want to contact your members of Congress, and see if this occasion has slipped from their consciousness, and ask how they intend to pay tribute to Gold Star moms and to solemnize Gold Star Mother's Day."

(a) Designation.— The last Sunday in September is Gold Star Mother’s Day.
(b) Proclamation.— The President is requested to issue a proclamation calling on United States Government officials to display the flag of the United States on all Government buildings, and the people of the United States to display the flag and hold appropriate meetings at homes, churches, or other suitable places, on Gold Star Mother’s Day as a public expression of the love, sorrow, and reverence of the people for Gold Star Mothers.
