You should read the entire article. It isn't long. I only posted this sentence because it sums up how dangerous a group some of them are. Think about the ramifications of that sentence.

That one sentence is scary beyond belief. How do you keep an eye on and sort out those ubernuts from the others?

This article should be mandatory reading. It gives a succinct summary of the Christian right and how they came to be. They didn't spring from the heads of Falwell or Robertson.

1. If I were a Christian

I would be outraged at how the looney right wing of Christianity behaves. Outraged to the point of publically taking issue with their behavior. I wonder why so many think the fundies of their religion are harmless, or not worth doing anything about, when it has become very evident they trouble.

2. I don't know.

They aren't Christians. I call them "Leviticans." If you read Leviticus, there are some truly harsh punishments for crimes. These people seem to model their actions on very harsh treatment of others.

I haven't gone to church in a brazillion years, but I know what I remember was based on teachings of charity and agape. As far as I'm concerned, Christian has become a generic brand. Anybody can take the word, and put their own wrapping on it.

3. The nutjob Christian Right believe he's the anti-Christ

What I don't understand is why they're upset over that "fact," and want to fight him. Isn't the presence of the anti-Christ a sign of the endtimes, meaning it's just about Rapture-Time?

are "antichrist"...and that is what they have become. Strange that they do not see that happening.
