I read this statement in a reader's review of Margaret Atwood's latest book.

Well, no, I didn't know that, but it does make a sense. Maybe that's why so many people, including myself, like apocalyptic literature.

I think part of it's thinking, What would I do if I were faced with an epidemic of superflu/zombies, whatever? Would I have the "right stuff" to be one of the survivors?
