Will The "All Porn Makes You Gay" Guy Sink Bob McDonnell (R) In Virginia?

It turns out that the 2009 GOP candidate for Virginia governor, Bob McDonnell, cited Michael Schwartz (the "all porn makes you gay" guy) two times in his master's thesis at Liberty University. As has been noted here, McDonnell's thesis also rails against "cohabitators, homosexuals and fornicators" and says that women shouldn't work outside the home. Since Bob McDonnell thinks Schwartz is a genius, lets hope the Dems pick that up and run with it.

What gets my goat isn't so much that the nutjobs on the right believe this shit- anyone who's been paying attention knows that the "pro-life" agenda encompasses everything from outlawing contraception to "Biblical Law" punishments like stoning for "crimes" such as having sex outside of marriage-- what bugs me is that members of our party are seemingly terrified to call out this sort of extremism, presumably because they live in terror of mythical, all-powerful "values voters".

I'd like to see the Dems in Virginia run against this dude's stance on things like contraception, but I won't hold my breath.

In his experience, all porn is homosexual porn because it turns your sexual drive inward, so if you tell 11 year-old boys THAT, pornography will turn their desires inward and they will not want a "Playboy magazine", they will lose interest.

First, how many 11 year-old boys has Michael Schwartz told about "all porn being homosexual porn"? He must have told SOME because he insists that they lose interest after being told that.

Second, why did they lose interest in getting a "Playboy" after he told them about all porn being homosexual porn? Maybe because there was an old, moralistic Republican degenerate standing there talking with them about porn?

When I and my buddies were eleven, we were collecting every kind of girlie mag we could get our hands on: Playboy, Club International, whatever, not to mention stealing the porno card deck from some of the guys' dad's underwear drawer.

We NEVER lost interest.
