6. A practical argument against appeasing right-wingers is that it doesn't work.

The Obama Administration caved to the right with the forced resignation of green-jobs-adviser-Van-Jones.

Now Congress will probably cave to the right by ending federal funding of ACORN.

Next the right-wingers may try to hurt the SEIU. Maybe some other organization or person.

If Van Jones were still in the Obama Administration, maybe the right-wingers would still be focused on him.
